Lytham St Annes Rambling Club
welcomes carefree walkers!

Lytham St Annes Rambling Club is affiliated to The Ramblers and operate undertheir guidlines. We offer varied walks on the first and third Sunday of each month, all year round.

Coach transport is provided for a nominal fee and there are several pickup points from St Annes through Lytham and Warton to Kirkham & Wesham where you can join the trip.

Guests are very welcome to join the walks on up to three occasions after which they will be invited to join the Club as a full member.

Children are welcome but must be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times. Sorry, but no dogs are allowed on the coach.

We recommend bringing a packed lunch and appropriate clothing for a day out on the fells. For more details click 'Learn More' to find out what to expect on a day out with Lytham Ramblers.

Group walking cannot yet be resumed. As soon as we have a better idea of the easing of restrictions, we will take a view as to how and when we might re-start.

Members may have heard about Chris Lewis, the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team member, who fell during a call out on Red Screes. His injuries are life changing and a 'Just Giving' page set up to rase funds for his long term care.

On behalf of the club, we felt it appropriate to donate £200 to the cause. Anyone wishing to make a personal donation can go to the Just Giving page:

Our AGM took place via zoom and 40 members attended the virtual meeting.

All the proposed resolutions were passed by the meeting and the Audited Accounts were accepted.

The programme for 2021/22 was accepted although with the current restrictions, we cannot yet accept bookings.

Membership Subscriptions are due and all members will have been sent a renewal notice. Even though we are not group walking, we still have expenses to cover so please forward your subscriptions as soon as you are able. It will help our cash flow and ready the club for an early resumption of our walk programme.

Bookings are suspended in line with goivermnment advice.

A revised programme for 2021 can be found on the Programme Page: HERE

Our final walk this year was hugely enjoyable. The weather held good for a few hours but even the late afternoon rain didn't dampen spirits.

It was great to see some members we hadn't seen for a while and a great pity that we had to call a halt to group walks.

We hope all those who went with us on our last walk had a great day!
